Villa Belraggio (Pilot)

Field note · Dec 2025

We first saw Villa Belraggio after the rain—the stone still dark, the arch cool to the touch. From the terrace you read the hills in bands. It's quiet here. The kind of quiet that makes old rooms feel taller.

What we see: a coherent shell and a dozen well-proportioned rooms. The fabric wants restraint—repairs where needed, original plaster where possible, services tucked into the least-intrusive routes. Keep the house. Lose the noise.

Lime finishes. Light set guided, not staged. Four calm bedrooms—cool in summer, quiet at night. A kitchen that welcomes—made for gathering, not display. Water planned, not hoped for: rain captured, storage restored, drought-wise planting in regenerative small scale systems including a kitchen garden for garden-to-table meals.
